Google Business Profile support operates through official tools separated by issue rather than a single call center: the appeals tool for a suspended profile, the Reviews Management Tool for an inappropriate review, an access request for ownership, and the “Contact us” form in the Help Center for other topics. A business owner searching for “Google business customer service” is often looking for a phone number; however, Google’s help pages direct resolution to this form and issue-specific tools.
Important note: Onur Freelance is not Google’s official support channel. It does not act on Google’s behalf, cannot influence an appeal outcome, and does not share a phone number belonging to Google. This guide compiles the information in Google’s Turkish help pages by issue type; each section includes the official route to follow and the information to prepare.

Where do you get Google Business Profile support? Through official tools separated by issue and the Contact us form in the Help Center, rather than a single call center. Use the appeals tool for a suspended profile, the Reviews Management Tool for an inappropriate review, and the Request access flow for ownership. For rejected edits, the route is the Contact us form. No publicly available support phone number has been published for Turkey. Google may call, but does not ask for payment information or verification codes; if you hear a promise of first place, hang up. First, bring the profile into compliance with the guidelines. Select the decision in the appeals tool and add evidence such as registration documents, invoices, and signage photographs; review may take five business days. The actions that prolong the process are clear: creating a new profile, submitting the same appeal again, changing information while waiting for a code, and sharing passwords. Primary ownership always remains with the business. Verification, ownership, and review reporting steps are on the page. Onur Freelance is not Google’s official support channel; you can write on WhatsApp for a profile check. Onur Freelance dot com.
Let us first classify the problem with your profile together
Onur Freelance is not Google’s official support channel and cannot determine appeal outcomes on Google’s behalf. What can be done is to review the profile’s status together and identify the correct official channel, missing documents, and information that violates the guidelines. Profile work is carried out within the local SEO service scope.
How do you reach Google Business Profile support?
The official starting point is the Google Business Profile Help Center at support.google.com/business. The “Contact us” link on the help pages (support.google.com/business/gethelp) opens a form where the issue type is selected after signing in with the Google Account associated with the profile. According to Google’s help page on appeals, if the initial response after submitting the form does not resolve the issue, you can continue corresponding with the support team by replying to the same email.
Checking whether the issue has its own tool before contacting support saves time. The main official channels are:
- Contact us form: General issues, duplicate profile appeals, ownership requests for service-area businesses, and rejected edit appeals for businesses outside the United Kingdom and EEA.
- Appeals tool: Applications and status tracking for suspended or disabled profiles.
- Reviews Management Tool: Reporting reviews that violate policy and submitting a one-time appeal.
- Request access flow: Requesting ownership of a profile verified by someone else.
- Community forum: Getting suggestions on methods from experienced users and volunteer experts.
What does the community forum help with, and what does it not do?
The Google Business Profile Community is a question-and-answer area on Google’s own help site. It provides ideas about the route taken by people with similar problems, which form to choose, or how to prepare evidence. Forum replies do not replace an appeal decision and do not cause action to be taken on the profile; account information, verification codes, or images of documents must never be added to the forum.
Is there a Google business customer service phone number?
When this article was prepared, Google’s Turkish Business Profile Help Center had not published a publicly available support phone number for Turkey. For this reason, numbers presented in search results, ads, or social media as a “Google business customer service phone number” or “Google Maps customer service” should not be assumed to belong to Google or called without verification. Google’s advanced profile settings page states that the Business Profile ID can be shared with support through channels such as phone, chat, or email; which channel becomes available is determined in Google’s request flow.
How can genuine calls from Google be recognized?
Google’s protecting yourself from fraudulent calls page states that Google may call businesses to confirm information such as opening hours on Maps, make reservations, or confirm prices and availability. The same page explicitly states that these calls do not ask for payment, service registration, or personal information, and that Google does not guarantee special placement in its products.
| Topic | Google’s official description | A situation that raises suspicion |
|---|---|---|
| Purpose of the call | Confirming opening hours, reservations, prices, or availability | Threatening that the profile will be “closed” or its ranking will fall |
| Payment | Payment information is not requested over the phone | Requests for card details, a bank transfer, or an “annual registration fee” |
| Ranking | No special placement in products is guaranteed | A promise to put the business first on Maps |
| Messaging | Official account with a blue verification mark on WhatsApp and RCS | A link or code request from an unverified account |
| Verification code | Google never asks for the code | The caller asks you to read out the code |
If someone claims to be calling from Google, hang up and do not press any buttons even if a voice prompt asks you to. The help page asks that calls claiming to work on Google’s behalf be reported through the third-party complaint form; add the calling company’s name, contact details, and any emails sent to the form.
Which official channel should you choose for each profile issue?
Each issue type has a separate entry point for Google Business Profile support, and applying through the wrong one prolongs the process. The matching below is based on Google’s Turkish help pages; because Turkey is outside the United Kingdom and EEA, businesses in Turkey follow the routes described for “other countries” on Google’s appeals page.
| Issue | Official channel | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Profile suspended or disabled | Appeals tool | Evidence must be submitted within 60 minutes after the evidence form is opened |
| Appeal rejected | Additional review request form | Add new evidence that was not in the initial submission |
| Account restricted | Google Account restrictions page | Appeal the account first, then the profile |
| Name, category, address, phone, or website edit rejected | Contact us form | The applicable route for countries outside the EEA, such as Turkey |
| Verification not completing | Verification flow in the profile, followed by Contact us | Google determines the methods automatically |
| Profile controlled by someone else | Request access through business.google.com/add | Service-area businesses use the Contact us form |
| Duplicate profile | Suggest an edit in Maps or Contact us | Merge requests are subject to review |
| Inappropriate review | Reviews Management Tool | A separate reporting form exists for extortion attempts |
| Incorrect map pin | Edit profile › Location › Adjust | Someone who does not own the profile suggests an edit in Maps |
Suspension in a Google Ads account is a process independent of Business Profile; the steps for the advertising account are explained separately in the suspended Google Ads account guide.
What information and documents should be prepared before a support request?
What speeds up an application is enabling the support team to identify the profile in the first message and see from the documents that the business really operates under that name at that address. Google’s appeal pages give official business registration, business licenses, tax documents, and utility bills such as electricity, water, telephone, or internet as examples of evidence. The business name and address on the documents must exactly match the information on the profile.
- Business Profile ID: Find it through More › Business Profile settings › Advanced settings in the profile panel.
- Correct Google Account: You must be signed in with an account that owns or manages the profile.
- Registration and tax documents: Official paperwork such as a commercial registry record, tax certificate, or certificate of activity.
- Proof of address: A current bill issued in the business’s name.
- Signage photographs: Clear photographs showing the permanent sign and the building entrance.
- Brief record of the issue: What was changed on which date, which warning appeared, and screenshots.
Sensitive information such as account passwords, verification codes, or identity numbers is not shared in any form or correspondence. Having the same name, address, and phone number on the profile and the website’s contact page also helps during review; keeping the website current is part of website management.

How do you appeal a suspended profile?
For a suspended or disabled profile, the only official route in the Google Business Profile support process is an application through the Google Business Profile appeals tool. The tool shows the restricted profile, the reason for the moderation action, and a link to the policy considered to have been violated. Before starting an appeal, the profile must be brought into compliance with all guidelines; acceptance should not be expected if the violation continues.
- Open the appeals tool and sign in with the Google Account associated with the profile.
- Select the profile to be reinstated and mark the decision being appealed.
- Complete the application using the Submit appeal button at the bottom right.
- Open the evidence form if desired; if it is not submitted within 60 minutes after opening, the evidence will not be added to the appeal.
- The decision is communicated by email; status is tracked in the same tool as Submitted, Approved, or Not approved.
Google’s help page states that an appeal review can take 5 business days, that a second appeal for the same issue should not be submitted during this period, and that a new profile should not be created for the same business. If reinstatement is rejected, an additional review can be requested with evidence not presented in the initial application. If the Google Account managing the profile is restricted, first appeal the account restriction and then proceed to the profile.
Verification problems: The code does not arrive or the video is not accepted
Verification methods are determined automatically by Google based on the business type, region, and publicly available information, and cannot be changed by the business owner. If more than one option appears in the profile, try another when one fails; if none works, Google’s instruction is to contact support.
For postcards, Google states that the code usually arrives within 14 days and is valid for 30 days; editing the name, address, or category while waiting, or requesting a new code, invalidates the current code. For video recording, if a “Review issues” notification appears in the profile, the video was not accepted; after correcting the deficiency shown on screen, record the video again live through the profile. When writing to Google Business Profile support at this stage, include the methods tried and their dates in the message.
Let us check the profile’s compliance with the guidelines before appealing
Google’s guidelines do not permit adding extra words to the business name, using a virtual office address, or treating the category as a keyword. The profile and documents are reviewed together against these rules, and deficiencies are corrected before the appeal. The appeal outcome depends solely on Google; the support provided here concerns preparing the application correctly. SEO service starts at 9,000 TL per month; the scope of profile work becomes clear after the current situation is reviewed.
How are ownership requests and duplicate profile problems resolved?
If a verified profile is held by someone else, the business owner requests access from the current owner. To do so, enter the business name and address at business.google.com/add, select the business from the list, choose Request access in the “Someone else may manage this Business Profile” message, and submit the form. The current owner has 3 days to respond; if the response is negative, the decision can be appealed or an edit suggested in Maps. If there is no response within 3 days, a claim and verification option may appear through the link in the confirmation email, but Google states that this option is not always offered.
For service-area businesses that travel to customers and have no storefront, ownership requests are made through the Contact us form. Do not give an agency or employee a password to manage the profile; Google recommends adding each user as a manager through People and access using their own account. Newly added owners and managers must wait 7 days for some actions.
When a duplicate profile is found
Each business can have only one Business Profile; duplicate profiles are not shown in Search and Maps. A duplicate created by mistake can be removed without affecting the verified profile.
If Maps contains two listings for the same business, request a merge through a suggested edit in Maps; reviews are combined in a merge, but replies to reviews may be lost. If two different businesses were merged incorrectly, contact support with signage photographs showing the two businesses separately. Do not create a new profile for a relocated business; update the address in the existing profile.
Incorrect locations in Maps and rejected profile edits
If the pin is in the wrong place, the profile owner corrects it from their panel: under Edit profile › Location, edit “Business location,” move the pin to the correct point using Adjust, and save. People who do not own the profile can open the address in Google Maps and submit a suggestion under “Suggest an edit” using “Pin location or address is wrong.” Google’s address rules require a full street address; descriptive phrases such as “opposite the park” are not entered in the address line.
Edits to the profile are reviewed before publication. According to Google, review usually takes 10 minutes but can sometimes extend to 30 days, and the outcome appears as Accepted, Pending, or Not approved. The following uses violate Google’s representation guidelines:
- Writing a business name different from the real name used on signage, documents, and the website.
- Entering a virtual office address where no staff are present.
- Using a category that describes the targeted search rather than the business’s main activity.
- Entering a URL or keyword in the address line.
Businesses in Turkey use the Contact us form, rather than the appeals tool, for rejected name, category, address, phone, or website edits. Setting up a profile in compliance from the outset and deciding how to complete each field is a separate topic; these steps are explained in the Google Business Profile optimization guide.
Where should fake or inappropriate reviews be reported?
A review that violates policy is flagged using the Report option beside the review in the profile or the Reviews Management Tool described on the reporting inappropriate reviews page. Google removes only reviews that violate its policies; a review being negative or the business disagreeing with it is not, by itself, grounds for removal, and Google does not take sides in disputes between a business and a customer.
Assessment usually takes a few days, and status is tracked in the same tool. Reviews receiving a “No policy violation” decision can be appealed once, and up to 10 reviews can be selected in one submission. If consecutive 1- and 2-star reviews appear within a short period, followed by demands for money or services in exchange for their removal, this is an extortion attempt. Google recommends not negotiating or paying, saving screenshots of messages with dates and sender details, and reporting the situation through the merchant extortion reporting form.
The other side of review management is asking genuine customers for reviews in accordance with the rules. To generate the business’s review link and QR code, the Google review link generator can be used free of charge.
Common mistakes in the support process and the correct approach
For Google Maps business support requests, Google’s help pages explicitly warn against three behaviors: taking an issue to the wrong channel, submitting the same appeal repeatedly, and creating a new profile while review is ongoing. The list below places the recommended route alongside these hasty actions.
- Appeal instead of creating a new profile: A second profile created while the suspended profile still exists is considered a duplicate; the correct step is to appeal for the existing profile.
- One submission, then wait: Do not submit a new appeal for the same issue before a decision arrives.
- Align documents with the profile: If the company name on the bill differs from the name on the profile, first explain or resolve the difference.
- Freeze information while waiting for the code: Do not change the name, address, or category during the postcard process.
- Manager access instead of a password: Add the person helping with the profile as a manager through their own account.
- Keep your distance from paid promises of a “guaranteed solution”: Anyone guaranteeing profile reinstatement or rankings does not speak on Google’s behalf.
Two things must always remain with the business owner: primary ownership of the profile and access to the Google Account that created it. Even when working with an agency, primary ownership stays with the business; if the login details for the account that created the profile are forgotten, try recovery through the Google Accounts troubleshooter.
