In brief: Website management means maintaining a live website every month, making it discoverable in search and measuring the inquiries it generates. Onur Freelance’s three monthly services are added separately: optional maintenance costs 500–2,000 TL per month, SEO starts from 9,000 TL per month, and Google Ads management starts from 9,000 TL per month. The advertising budget is paid directly to Google.
The day a website is delivered, only the first half of the work is complete. Plugins and the theme need updates, competitors’ positions in search results change, and you do not appear in front of someone searching unless an advertising account is activated. This page explains the three parts of monthly website management side by side: which service is added when, whom it makes sense for, how it is measured and reported, and where to start. Any website with a completed web design project can add one, two or all three of these services afterward.

What is website management? It means maintaining a live website every month, making it discoverable in search and measuring the inquiries it generates. Three services are added separately. Maintenance keeps the website working, SEO makes it discoverable in organic search, and Google Ads management makes it immediately visible through advertising; measurement is the foundation of them all. A backup is taken first, followed by updates to the core, theme and plugins. Forms and essential pages are checked; if a problem occurs, the backup is restored and the cause is recorded in the report. For a newly delivered website, start with maintenance and measurement; if inquiries are needed quickly, start with Google Ads, and for a long-term goal, with SEO; both can also run together. Common mistakes: bulk updates without a backup, advertising without measurement, Search Console never being activated, accounts opened in the service provider’s name, and an untested contact form. The service comparison, monthly report contents and current prices are on the page. You can write through WhatsApp for an initial assessment. Onur Freelance dot com.

What work continues after a website goes live?
Four tasks continue constantly on a live website: maintenance, search visibility, paid visibility and measurement. None is the kind of task that can be done once and left alone; each responds to something that changes during the month. WordPress releases a new version, Google refreshes search results, competitors change bids in the advertising auction, and visitor behavior shifts with the seasons.
- Maintenance: Keeping the website operational through core, theme and plugin updates, backups, security checks and form checks.
- SEO: Technical adjustments, content and local visibility work to help pages appear in relevant Google searches.
- Google Ads management: Appearing immediately through advertising to someone searching; setting up, monitoring and improving the campaign.
- Measurement: Using Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and Search Console to see which channel generates calls, forms or orders.
Website management means carrying out these four tasks through a single team using the same data. Measurement is treated as the first step in SEO and Google Ads work and forms the basis of the reports shared every month.
Monthly service comparison: What is done, for whom, and when is it added?
The difference between the three monthly services comes from the problem each solves: maintenance keeps the website working, SEO makes it discoverable in organic search, and Google Ads makes it immediately visible through advertising. Starting fees and when to add each service are shown side by side below; the final fee is determined in a written quote after the scope is reviewed.
| Service | What is done? | Who is it for? | Starting fee | When is it added? |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Maintenance | Backup before updating; core, theme and plugin updates; security and functionality checks; form tests | Businesses without the time or team to monitor their website technically | 500–2,000 TL per month (optional) | In the month the website is delivered; after a technical review for websites built by another company |
| SEO | Technical adjustments, keyword and content planning, new and updated pages, local visibility, Search Console monitoring | Businesses whose customers search for their services or products on Google and that want lasting organic visibility | From 9,000 TL per month | When the website goes live and its essential pages are complete |
| Google Ads management | Campaign setup, keyword and negative keyword management, ad copy, conversion measurement, budget monitoring | Businesses that want to see inquiries quickly, are newly opened or run seasonal campaigns | From 9,000 TL per month; the advertising budget is paid separately to Google | Immediately after conversion measurement is set up |
SEO and Google Ads are separate services and are billed separately. Even when purchased together, two separate monthly fees apply; there is no package discount. Maintenance can be added independently of these two services or left out entirely.
Maintenance: Why are updates, backups and security checks carried out every month?
Maintenance is carried out every month because the WordPress core, theme and plugins are continuously updated by their developers, and a component that is not updated creates security and compatibility problems over time. WordPress.org’s update documentation recommends always keeping the website on the latest version and taking a backup before updating. Updating itself also carries risk: a new plugin version may conflict with the theme, or the contact form may quietly stop working.
The order matters in monthly maintenance. First a backup is taken, then updates are applied, and afterward forms, the payment step if present, and essential pages are checked. If a problem occurs, the backup is restored and the cause is recorded in the report.
Maintenance is the most basic part of website management; it is optional and costs between 500–2,000 TL per month; the size of the website and the maintenance scope determine the amount within this range. Which tasks are performed at which intervals and the contents of the maintenance report are explained in detail on the WordPress maintenance service page.
SEO: How does a website become discoverable in search?
SEO is the combined technical, content and local work carried out on a website to appear in organic results without paying for advertising. A newly delivered website comes with SEO infrastructure such as title and description fields, a sitemap, mobile compatibility and SSL; monthly SEO adds new work on top of this infrastructure every month. Monthly work generally includes the following tasks:
- Resolving indexing and crawling problems in Search Console
- Creating a keyword map based on searches for services, products and areas
- Updating existing pages and preparing new pages or posts for missing topics
- Creating internal links between pages
- Supporting local visibility through Google Business Profile
SEO starts from 9,000 TL per month; the number of pages, competition in the industry, content requirements and target area determine the fee. Details of the individual items appear on the SEO prices page, while the working method is explained on the SEO service page.
Google’s guide to choosing an SEO specialist explicitly states that nobody can guarantee a number one position on Google. No ranking promise is made here either; the commitment is the scope of the work to be performed and regular reporting.
Google Ads management: When does paid visibility come into play?
Google Ads is a way to appear through advertising to someone searching without waiting for organic results, and it generally comes into play when inquiries need to be seen quickly. For a newly opened business, a seasonal campaign, a newly added service or a page not yet visible in organic search, advertising can bring visitors from the day it launches.
The management fee and advertising budget are separate items. The management fee starts from 9,000 TL per month and covers campaign setup, search term monitoring, negative keywords, ad copy and reporting. The advertising budget spent on clicks is not included in this fee; Google charges the spending to the payment method defined in the business’s own advertising account, and the account remains with the business.
How the daily budget works, the factors determining cost per click and pricing models are explained on the Google Ads prices page. If a campaign is launched before conversion measurement is set up, you can see which searches the spending goes to, but you cannot see which searches bring customers. This is why measurement is the first step in advertising setup.
Measurement and reporting: How can you see which channel generates inquiries?
In website management, which channel generates calls, forms or orders becomes visible when GA4, Search Console and Google Ads conversion measurement are set up together. Without measurement, budget decisions between SEO and advertising are based on guesswork.
What is done during measurement setup?
The Google Ads Help Center’s conversion measurement pageexplains that conversion tracking is used to show which keywords, ads and campaigns generate valuable customer activity. For organic traffic, the same logic is set up through key events in GA4. Setup proceeds in the following order:
- Opening the GA4 property and Search Console in the business’s name or verifying existing accounts
- Defining events such as phone clicks, WhatsApp clicks, form submissions and orders
- Testing events and marking them as key events
- Connecting conversions to the advertising account if Google Ads is used
What is included in the monthly report?
The report is shared every month and shows the work completed and changes in the data in the same place. The SEO report includes changes in impressions, clicks and queries in Search Console; the Google Ads report includes spending, conversions, search terms and changes made; the maintenance report includes updates, backups and form tests.
Each report ends with the plan for the following month. Since the figures are read from the business’s own accounts, the same data can be checked at any time in the Search Console, GA4 and Google Ads dashboards.
How do the services work together, and which should you start with?
In website management, which service to start with depends on how quickly the business expects inquiries and the website’s current condition. The three services can be added independently; when they run together, they share the same measurement data. Search terms that bring customers through advertising enter the SEO content plan, while advertising spending on queries that already perform well in organic search is reassessed. Common starting scenarios are as follows:
- Newly delivered website: Start with maintenance and measurement setup; add SEO or Google Ads according to the inquiry goal.
- Business needing inquiries quickly: Start with Google Ads; SEO can be added later for lasting visibility.
- Long-term visibility goal: Start with SEO; advertising can be activated separately during busy seasons.
- Business wanting both speed and lasting visibility: SEO and Google Ads run together; the two services are billed separately.
Channels such as Meta ads, social media and email are outside the scope of this page; which channel suits which goal is explained on the digital marketing service page. If the website does not yet exist or will be renewed, you can first use the website cost calculator to see which package is suitable: single page (from 12,000 TL), corporate (from 15,000 TL) or e-commerce (from 24,000 TL).
Let us choose together which service to start with
When you provide the website address, target area and expected inquiry type, a free initial assessment clarifies which service to add first. The scope and monthly fee for the selected service are sent in writing the same day.
What is the difference between a ready-made digital package and working by individual service?
A common approach is to offer maintenance, SEO, advertising and social media in a package with a single price; here, each service is added and billed separately according to need. In the package model, a business may pay for an item it does not use, or the item it needs most may be limited within the package. The two approaches differ in four respects:
- Scope: In a ready-made package, the items are fixed from the start; in work by individual service, the scope is written according to the website’s condition.
- Fee: A package has a single price; here, the starting fee for each service is explained separately and a written quote is sent.
- Account ownership: The domain name, hosting, GA4, Search Console and Google Ads are opened in the business’s name or remain in the business’s account.
- Flexibility: A service can be added or removed when needs change; the conditions are clarified in writing during the scope discussion.
When choosing a website management service, what matters for trust is being able to see the work performed. Examples of websites designed and launched are listed on the portfolio page; for different industries, from moving services to lighting manufacturing, each project page explains the business’s needs, the website’s sections and the infrastructure used. The team that implements changes also prepares the report; the point of contact stays the same when there is a question.
What mistakes are commonly made after a website is delivered?
The most common mistake is treating the day the website goes live as the end of the work. The mistakes that follow are generally connected, and most arise from a lack of measurement or regular checks:
- Bulk updates without a backup: When a plugin conflict occurs, there is no restore point to return to. The correct method is a backup first, followed by controlled updates and form testing.
- Advertising without measurement: Spending is visible, but which click brought a customer is not.
- Never opening Search Console: Pages that are not indexed and crawling problems go unnoticed for months.
- Expecting SEO results in a few weeks: Organic visibility develops cumulatively; if inquiries are needed quickly, advertising is planned separately.
- Opening accounts in the service provider’s name: When the work ends, the advertising history and data become separated from the business.
- Failing to test the contact form: When the form breaks, incoming inquiries are lost without reaching anyone.
None of these mistakes requires a large budget to address; what is needed is putting the work on a schedule and repeating the same checks every month. The monthly website management service establishes exactly this schedule.
How do you start a monthly service?
Getting started involves a free initial assessment, and the quote is sent the same day. The process proceeds in six steps:
- Communicating the requirement: Send the website address, target area and desired service through WhatsApp or describe them by phone.
- Free initial assessment: The website’s technical condition and any Search Console and advertising accounts are reviewed.
- Written quote: The scope, monthly fee, reporting arrangement and required access for the selected service are shared the same day.
- Granting access: Access to the administration panel, hosting, GA4, Search Console and Google Ads, if present, is granted from the business’s account.
- Measurement setup and initial checks: Conversions are defined; the first backup is taken for maintenance, and a technical crawl is performed for SEO.
- Monthly cycle: The planned tasks are carried out; at the end of the month, a report and the following month’s plan are shared.
Working hours are 09:00–21:00; communication takes place through WhatsApp and by phone at 0532 690 9924.
Websites built by another company
Monthly services can also be added to websites built by another company; a technical review is performed first. The review examines whether the infrastructure, theme and plugins are up to date, the backup status, in whose name the hosting and domain name are registered, and the existing measurement setup. If a serious problem is found, the work that must be completed before the monthly service is listed separately.
Working inside and outside Istanbul
The office is in Gülsuyu, Maltepe, Istanbul. Meetings with businesses throughout Istanbul take place in person or online; work with businesses outside Istanbul and abroad is carried out remotely. Since reports and meetings can be handled online, location does not create an obstacle to website management.

Frequently asked questions
Which services does website management include?
Website management consists of three separate monthly services: maintenance, SEO and Google Ads management. Each is added separately; measurement setups such as GA4, Search Console and conversion tracking are carried out as the first step in SEO and Google Ads work.
Is there a discount if SEO and Google Ads are purchased together?
No, a package discount does not apply; the two services are billed separately. Each starts at 9,000 TL per month, and purchasing them together does not change these amounts. Spending paid to Google for advertising is outside these two fees.
What is the contract duration for monthly services?
No fixed minimum period is announced; the working period and conditions are clarified during the scope discussion and included in the written quote. The service scope, monthly fee and reporting arrangement are also specified in the same quote.
How is reporting handled?
A written report is shared every month; it includes the work performed that month, changes in the data and the plan for the following month. Since the data is read from the business’s own Search Console, GA4 and Google Ads accounts, the same figures can also be checked in the dashboards.
Can I get a monthly service if another company built the website?
Yes, a technical review is performed first. The review checks whether the infrastructure, theme and plugins are up to date, the backup status, who owns the hosting and domain name, and the measurement setup; any issue that needs to be resolved is listed separately before the monthly service.
Who receives the advertising spending in Google Ads management?
Advertising spending is paid directly to Google through the payment method in the business’s own Google Ads account. The monthly management fee (from 9,000 TL) covers campaign setup, monitoring and reporting, and does not include this spending.
Is monthly maintenance mandatory, and how much does it cost?
No, maintenance is optional and costs between 500–2,000 TL per month. When maintenance is not purchased, responsibility for updates, backups and form checks remains with the website owner.
Do monthly services promise first place or sales?
No, no promise is made of first place, traffic or sales. Google’s own guide also states that nobody can guarantee a number one ranking; the commitment is the scope of the work to be performed and the report shared each month.
