The most reliable data about WordPress maintenance fees are the figures companies publish on their own websites. On October 9–10, 2026, we opened the pages of 11 Turkish companies and service providers individually that openly publish monthly, multi-month, or annual maintenance fees on their websites. Entry prices converted to monthly equivalents ranged from 333 TL to 11,500 TL, with a median of 1,600 TL. The highest published monthly maintenance package is 12,500 TL. These figures are not a market average for website maintenance fees in 2026; they are only the list prices of companies that state their prices openly.

The article includes a price table, a step-by-step median calculation, a scope table showing which tasks are included in which packages, factors affecting fees, VAT and payment-period differences, official WordPress.org update and backup recommendations, and a proposal checklist. Onur Freelance is also a studio providing WordPress maintenance; our own price appears in a separate row in the table and is excluded from the calculation. Companies can change their prices at any time; the relevant company’s page should be the reference for current fees.

A written maintenance proposal to compare with this table

If you have another maintenance proposal or are unsure what scope of maintenance the website needs, the website is reviewed in a free preliminary assessment. Update and backup frequency, monitoring, and reporting arrangements are clarified line by line in the written proposal, allowing a comparison on the same basis with the packages below.

WordPress maintenance fees 2026: Data summary

Across 11 companies openly stating maintenance fees on their websites, the lowest entry package is 333 TL as a monthly equivalent, and the highest entry package is 11,500 TL; the median is 1,600 TL, and the mean is approximately 2,850 TL. This band is a rough answer to the monthly website maintenance price question, but the amount of work behind the same figure varies greatly between companies.

  • Companies included: 11 (those with a maintenance fee stated numerically on the page)
  • Entry price range (monthly equivalent): 333 – 11,500 TL
  • Entry price median: 1,600 TL/month
  • Highest published monthly package: 12,500 TL (MODESER, WP Destek Gelişmiş, 20 hours of work per month)
  • Payment period: 9 companies list monthly payment packages; 1 sells only annual packages, and 1 sells only 3- and 6-month packages
  • VAT status: 4 companies explicitly state VAT is excluded, 1 says it is included; 6 make no mention of VAT

WordPress maintenance package prices can be misleading when read without their scope. A 1,500 TL package may include weekly backups and 24/7 monitoring, while a different 2,500 TL package may provide one hour of work per month. Reading the price alongside the scope table is therefore necessary.

Price table for 11 companies openly publishing maintenance fees

Prices are reproduced as written on the pages; all pages were accessed on October 9–10, 2026. Annual and multi-month packages are converted to monthly equivalents in a separate column. The order is alphabetical, not a ranking of quality or recommendations.

How was the median calculated? Lowest, middle, and highest monthly equivalents

For each company, the lowest undiscounted list price was used. For those with monthly payment packages, this figure was used directly; for those selling only annual or multi-month packages, the price divided by the number of months was used. Prices carrying a “starts from” statement entered the calculation at the base figure written on the page. The eleven entry prices in ascending order are: 333, 990, 1,275, 1,500, 1,500, 1,600, 2,250, 2,500, 2,500, 5,400, and 11,500 TL.

  • Lowest entry price: 333 TL (Site’n Burada, Bronze package; 4,000 TL + VAT annually / 12)
  • Highest entry price: 11,500 TL (Yazilim.pro, starting amount)
  • Median: because the number of values is odd, the middle value, the 6th: 1,600 TL
  • Mean: total approximately 31,348 TL / 11 = approximately 2,850 TL

Because a single high value (11,500 TL) pulls the mean noticeably upward, the median was chosen as the main indicator. The median was also tested against assumptions: taking only the 9 monthly payment companies produces a median of 2,250 TL; using the 1,999 TL in Modern Web SEO’s page text produces 1,999 TL; using the 1,200 TL on Weblike’s promotional page produces 1,500 TL. The midpoint of entry prices remains in the 1,500–2,250 TL band in this sample. One-time discount codes (such as MODESER’s first-order code) were not reflected in entry prices.

What is in each maintenance package? Scope comparison

The table below shows the items written on each company’s page for its entry package. “Not stated” does not mean the work is not performed; it only indicates that the item is not specified on the page and should be asked about separately in the proposal.

Onur Freelance (excluded from calculation)Weekly check; after release for critical patchesWeekly for infrequently changing websites, daily for websites receiving orders; extra backup before each updateWeekly scan and administrator account checkRegular content entry not includedComprehensive speed optimization not includedContinuous uptime monitoring

Three conclusions emerge from the table. Only 4 companies state backup frequency numerically in the entry package. There are 5 companies mentioning continuous monitoring, but none states which tool is used or how quickly an outage is reported. Content changes are the item with the greatest variation: some packages describe this by quantity (1 edit, 5 updates), some by hours (1 hour per month), some without stating any limit, and one company explicitly excludes it.

Factors affecting website maintenance fees

Even between the same company’s own packages, the difference is large: at MODESER, the top package is 5 times the entry package, and at Netora Bilişim, 3 times. The pages’ own explanations directly show the main factors increasing the fee:

  • Working time and content change allowance: At MODESER, a 1-hour-per-month package is 2,500 TL, and a 20-hour package is 12,500 TL. At Web Doktoru, as the editing allowance rises from 1 to 150, the price rises from 1,500 TL to 2,800 TL.
  • Backup and update frequency: At Web Doktoru, backups rise from weekly to daily; at MODESER, updates rise from once a week to daily as the package tier increases.
  • Plugin load and the website’s business impact: Netora Bilişim describes its top package as being for businesses with high traffic, heavy plugin dependence, or sales and inquiry processes dependent on the website.
  • WooCommerce and order flow: For stores receiving orders, the payment step, order emails, and need for daily backups expand the work; most pages in the table do not list a separate store price, and this item is clarified in the proposal.
  • Emergency intervention and response time: On the Site’n Burada page, completion time is 3 business days for the Bronze package and 1 business day for Platinum. Web Doktoru adds 24/7 emergency assistance at the second tier; Yazilim.pro lists emergency intervention as an optional additional service outside the scope.
  • Number of websites: Melibera separates its packages for 1, 3, and 5 websites; for 3 and 5 websites, the monthly fee per website falls to 2,000 TL.

An infrequently changing promotional website with limited plugins stays at the lower tier for most of these factors. A website receiving orders daily, with many plugins and frequent content changes, approaches the upper tiers. There is therefore no single “correct maintenance price”; what is appropriate is a scope matching the website’s actual workload.

Let us write the maintenance scope according to your website’s size

At Onur Freelance, monthly WordPress maintenance ranges from 500–2,000 TL and is entirely optional. The amount within the range depends on website size, whether it has WooCommerce, update and backup frequency, and expected response speed; it is finalized in a written proposal after reviewing the website. Item details are on the WordPress maintenance service page.

VAT, payment periods, and excluded items

Even if the monthly figures in two proposals look similar, the VAT statement, payment period, and excluded tasks change the total cost. Of the 11 companies examined, 4 explicitly state that VAT is excluded, 1 (Longway Media) says VAT is included, and 6 make no mention of VAT. A 5,400 TL price stated as VAT-inclusive and a figure marked “+ VAT” are not on the same basis; comparison is meaningful only when all are converted to the same format.

  • Discount for annual payment: At Web Doktoru, the monthly equivalent of the Introduction package falls to 1,250 TL with annual payment, at Weblike to 1,120 TL, and at Longway Media to 4,500 TL for the Standard package. Netora Bilişim’s stated annual figures are 12 times the monthly price.
  • Upfront period: Weblog Stüdyo does not sell a monthly package; the shortest period is 3 months. Site’n Burada also states only annual prices.
  • Who built the website: Weblog Stüdyo states that its packages apply only to websites it built itself.
  • Excluded work: Yazilim.pro separates design and content changes, and Site’n Burada some items in its table, as “Extra charges”. It is important that fees for work outside maintenance be stated in writing in the proposal.

Confirming the VAT rate, invoice type, and expense treatment with a financial advisor is recommended. The most reliable method is to convert every proposal to “total annual amount including VAT” and list work outside maintenance on separate rows. Maintenance is not a website’s only annual expense; the complete picture alongside hosting, domains, and licenses is discussed in the annual website cost article, while setup prices are discussed in the website prices 2026 market research .

Monthly maintenance or one-time intervention?

Two models appear side by side on pricing pages. Some sell only subscriptions, while others also state prices for one-time work: at Weblog Stüdyo, one-time maintenance is 2,190.00 TL + VAT, and one-time technical support is 2,480.00 TL + VAT; WP Servis publishes an hourly fee instead of a monthly package (300 TL, as a starting fee). These two prices were excluded from the median calculation because they are not monthly maintenance.

Whether a subscription or one-time work makes more sense depends on how often the website changes, whether it receives orders or inquiries, and when the last sound backup was made. The table comparing this choice across six typical situations is in the decision table on the WordPress specialist in Istanbul page and is not repeated here. Just as a single breakdown does not require moving to a monthly package, leaving a store receiving daily orders to support called only when something breaks is also risky.

WordPress.org recommendations for updates, backups, and security

WordPress.org’s own documentation can be used as an independent benchmark when assessing maintenance packages. Onur Freelance is not an official WordPress.org support channel; this section relies directly on the documents below, and all links were opened and checked on October 10, 2026.

  • Backup frequency and quantity: The WordPress backup documentation (last updated June 4, 2026) recommends weekly backups for websites with infrequent posts and daily backups for busy websites. It recommends keeping at least 3–5 recent backups in different places, such as the server, cloud storage, and a local computer. According to the document, both the database and files are needed to restore a website completely.
  • Updates: The WordPress update documentation, recommends always updating the website to the latest version and taking a backup beforehand. In WordPress 3.7 and later, minor and security releases are automatically applied in the background on most websites; major releases still require approval.
  • Security: The WordPress hardening documentation (last updated January 7, 2026) explicitly states that older versions do not receive security updates: “Older versions of WordPress are not maintained with security updates.” The document recommends keeping plugins current, deleting unused ones, using strong passwords and two-step authentication, taking regular backups including the database, and monitoring logs.

Viewed against this benchmark, three main questions emerge for a maintenance proposal: backup frequency and how many copies are kept where, whether updates are controlled and performed after a backup, and whether unused plugins and accounts are regularly cleaned up. Problems following updates are discussed separately in the WordPress website broken after an update article.

WordPress maintenance proposal checklist

When choosing between proposals, check whether the following items are stated in writing in each proposal before considering the price. Part of the list comes from WordPress.org documentation, and part from differences seen on the pricing pages above.

  1. Does the fee include or exclude VAT?
  2. Is payment monthly, or upfront for 3 months, 6 months, or a year?
  3. How often are core, theme, and plugin updates performed, and are they done after backups?
  4. How often are backups taken, how many copies are kept, and where are they stored off-site?
  5. Are backup restoration tests performed?
  6. Are security scans and administrator account checks included?
  7. Are outages monitored; how quickly are you notified when the website goes down?
  8. How many content changes or hours of work are included per month?
  9. Are emergency intervention and response times in writing?
  10. If WooCommerce is present, are the payment step and order emails tested?
  11. What are the fees for excluded tasks such as hack cleanup, speed optimization, and redesign?
  12. Is a monthly report provided, and which topics does it cover?
  13. Whose name are hosting, domain, and premium licenses under, and are they included in the fee?
  14. How are backups and access details handed over when maintenance ends?

In general practice, maintenance proposals are often compared only by package name and monthly figure. A more reliable method is to put every proposal into this fourteen-item table and read the same rows side by side.

Where does Onur Freelance’s maintenance fee sit in this table?

Onur Freelance’s monthly maintenance range of 500–2,000 TL is in the lower section of the 333–11,500 TL entry price range across the 11 companies examined; its lower end is below the 1,600 TL median, and its upper end is above it. This position alone does not indicate better or worse service; comparison is meaningful only when the scope is in writing.

Maintenance is entirely optional; a delivered website can be used without purchasing maintenance, and the service can also be added to WordPress websites built by another company. For a typical corporate website, the starting plan consists of weekly update checks, weekly or daily backups depending on how quickly the website changes, continuous outage monitoring, weekly security scans, a monthly form test, and a monthly report; hack cleanup, comprehensive speed optimization, and regular content entry are separate services. How maintenance, SEO, and Google Ads are planned together for a live website is explained on the website management page. As a studio based in Maltepe, we have worked since 2019; maintenance work is performed remotely.

Methodology and limitations

The research was conducted by individually downloading company pages found through searches such as “WordPress maintenance fees”, “website maintenance prices”, and similar searches on October 9–10, 2026. Prices were read from the pages’ raw text and, for store pages, from product option price data embedded in the page; search engines’ short answers were not used as sources. This distinction mattered: figures appearing in one company’s search summary did not match the live page, while another company’s summary price did not appear in the page’s raw text at all.

  • Inclusion criterion: The company must state its maintenance fee on its own website as a monthly, multi-month, or annual figure.
  • Excluded: Blog posts and compilations giving only market ranges, marketplace averages, a page quoting prices in dollars, hourly fees, technical support packages focused on development rather than maintenance, pages redirecting to the homepage or returning errors, and pages whose prices could not be found in raw text.
  • Sample: The 11 companies are those that state their prices openly; many agencies and freelancers working by quotation are absent from this table. The results do not represent the entire market.
  • Inconsistencies: When two different price statements appeared on a page, the pricing box or cart price was used, the other figure was noted in the table, and the median was calculated under both assumptions.
  • Scope: Definitions of “updates”, “editing”, and “monitoring” are not standardized between companies; the table does not measure service quality.

This research uses October 2026 data and is refreshed once a year using the same 26 keywords and the same settings; the next update will take place in October 2027. The raw weekly series can be reproduced through Trends using the same parameters. If a website is to be structured around the industry’s own keyword list, the

This research uses October 2026 data and is refreshed every 3 months; the next check will take place in January 2027. Companies changing prices or publishing new prices will be reflected in the table during that round.

Free preliminary assessment to compare maintenance proposals side by side

For those gathering information, the checklist is a sufficient starting point. For those with multiple maintenance proposals who cannot decide, the proposals are organized into the same rows; for those wanting to begin immediately, the website and plugin list are reviewed, and the maintenance scope and monthly amount are provided in writing. You can get in touch through WhatsApp or by phone.

Frequently asked questions

On October 9–10, 2026, entry packages across 11 Turkish companies openly stating maintenance fees on their websites range from 333 TL to 11,500 TL as monthly equivalents; the median is 1,600 TL. The highest published monthly maintenance package is 12,500 TL.

The main factors determining fees are monthly working time or content change allowance, backup and update frequency, plugin load, WooCommerce and order flow, emergency intervention time, and number of websites. At some companies, the highest package reaches 5 times the entry package.

It varies by company. Of the 11 companies examined, 4 explicitly state VAT is excluded and 1 that it is included; 6 make no mention of VAT. This information should be clarified in writing in the proposal; confirming tax matters with a financial advisor is recommended.

The items appearing most often on pages are core, theme, and plugin updates, backups, security checks, and monitoring. Only 4 entry packages state backup frequency numerically; content changes are limited by quantity in some packages and hours in others, and excluded in some.

At some companies, yes. At Web Doktoru, the monthly equivalent of the Introduction package falls from 1,500 TL to 1,250 TL with annual payment, and at Weblike from 1,600 TL to 1,120 TL. At some companies, the annual figure is 12 times the monthly price; refund conditions for upfront payment should be asked about separately.

WordPress.org’s backup documentation recommends weekly backups for websites with infrequent posts and daily backups for busy websites, and advises keeping at least 3–5 recent backups in different locations. Both the database and files are needed for complete restoration.

Company pages found through searches were individually downloaded on October 9–10, 2026, and prices were taken directly from the pages’ own text. Only companies stating maintenance fees numerically were included; annual and multi-month packages were converted to monthly equivalents, and each company’s lowest undiscounted price was used for the median.

At Onur Freelance, monthly WordPress maintenance ranges from 500–2,000 TL and is optional. The amount within the range depends on website size, whether WooCommerce is present, update and backup frequency, and expected response speed; our own price was excluded from the research calculation.
