Seasonality by industry shows a very clear distinction in Türkiye: searches for air conditioner servicing, boutique hotels, and wedding venues concentrate in just a few months of the year, while searches for comprehensive car insurance, security cameras, and signage remain at almost the same level throughout the year. At Onur Freelance, we collected Google Trends data for Türkiye for one primary keyword from each of 26 service industries, as 260 weekly data points between October 3, 2021 and September 26, 2026, and calculated the five-year monthly average, the highest and lowest months, and whether the peak recurred in the same month from year to year for each keyword. The most seasonal keyword turned out to be “air conditioner servicing”: its July average was 5.19 times its March average.

This article provides the answer to which month demand increases for 26 industries, a 12-month heat map, a grouped version of the data, and an explanation of how to turn this calendar into an SEO content publishing schedule and Google Ads budget. Trends does not provide search counts; it scales each keyword individually between 0 and 100, so none of the figures on this page should be used to compare two keywords with one another. Onur Freelance is not an official Google support channel; this page is an independent measurement.

Let us interpret your industry’s peak month using its own keyword list

The tables are based on a single primary keyword for each industry; the service a business sells, its region, and its keyword list may reveal a different calendar. When the service and target region are sent through WhatsApp, that business’s keywords are opened separately in Trends during a free preliminary assessment, and an outline for a content and advertising calendar is prepared.

Which month does demand increase? A brief answer for 26 industries

The following points are based on five-year monthly averages and the peak month in each of the 2022–2025 calendar years. The values in parentheses are monthly averages on that keyword’s own 0–100 scale.

  • The three most seasonal keywords: “air conditioner servicing” peaks in July (seasonality ratio 5.19), “boutique hotel” in July (4.80), and “wedding venue” in August (3.12).
  • The same month every year: For 4 keywords, the peak occurred in the same month in all four years of 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025: “wedding venue” in August, “boutique hotel” in July, and “kindergarten” and “English course” in September.
  • Concentration in summer: For 12 of the 26 keywords, the highest month in the five-year average is June, July, or August.
  • Winter peak: “boiler servicing” peaks in November and reaches its lowest point in June and July (2.57); “carpet cleaning” peaks in October (2.09).
  • Industries searched for in every season: For searches for “security camera” (1.07), “comprehensive car insurance” (1.12), “signage” (1.13), “vehicle inspection” and “apartment for sale” (1.16), “gym” (1.18), and “furniture” (1.20), the difference between the highest and lowest months is small.
  • When to run Google advertising: In seasonal industries, the budget can be increased in the first month when searches rise above the annual average; for air conditioner servicing this month is May, and for boiler servicing it is October.

How was the data collected? Google Trends, the 0–100 scale, and calculation methodology

Google Trends shows relative interest in a term from a sampled cross-section of Google searches. According to Google’s FAQ about Google Trends data page, each data point is divided by the total searches in the geography and time range it represents, and the result is scaled between 0 and 100 according to the topic’s proportion of all searches. The same page also states that Trends is not a scientific poll and that low-volume terms appear as “0”.

  • Source: Google Trends, “Interest over time” chart, Google Web Search, all categories
  • Location: Türkiye
  • Period: October 3, 2021 – September 26, 2026, 260 weekly data points
  • Scope: 26 service industries, 1 primary keyword per industry; each keyword was retrieved as a separate query
  • Access date: 09.10.2026

Querying each keyword separately is a deliberate choice. Keywords placed in the same Trends chart are brought onto a shared scale, and a frequently searched keyword compresses the curve of a less frequently searched keyword into a line close to zero. In separate queries, each series stays between 0 and 100 relative to its highest week over its own five-year period; its month-by-month shape is clearly visible, but the values of two keywords can no longer be compared.

Month assignment and monthly average

Each weekly point was assigned to a calendar month using the midweek date obtained by adding 3 days to the week’s starting day. The monthly average is the arithmetic mean of all weeks falling in that month over 5 years (approximately 20–23 weeks per month), rounded to one decimal place. Because the period starts in October 2021 and ends in September 2026, each calendar month is represented five times.

Seasonality ratio and peak consistency

  • Seasonality ratio: The highest of the 12 monthly averages ÷ the lowest value, to two decimal places. 1.00 means a completely flat year; 2.00 indicates that interest in the strongest month is twice that in the weakest month.
  • Peak consistency: The month with the highest monthly average was identified in each of the 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025 calendar years. The number of years in which this annual peak fell in the same month as the five-year peak month or within ±1 month (December and January count as adjacent) was recorded out of 4.
  • Season window: The months whose monthly average is higher than the mean of that keyword’s 12 monthly averages.

Grouping was based on these two measures, and the thresholds are our own choice: keywords with a ratio of at least 1.50 and consistency of at least 3/4 were classified as “strongly seasonal”; those with a ratio below 1.25 as “flat”; among the keywords in between, those with consistency of at least 3/4 as “mildly seasonal”; and the remainder as “irregular / single peak”. The result was 10 strongly seasonal, 5 mildly seasonal, 4 irregular, and 7 flat keywords.

Seasonality table by industry: Peak month, lowest month, and consistency

The table is sorted from highest to lowest seasonality ratio. The parentheses beside the peak and lowest months show that month’s five-year average (on the keyword’s own 0–100 scale). The “Annual peak months” column shows which month was highest in 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025, respectively.

The ratio and consistency should be read together. “plumber” is in the upper half of the list with a ratio of 2.39, but its annual peak falls in four different months over four years; the high ratio comes from a spike in a single period rather than a regular season. “household moving”, meanwhile, peaks in June or July every year despite a moderate ratio of 1.37.

12-month heat map: Seasonal demand month by month

In each row, the color was scaled from that keyword’s own lowest month (light) to its highest month (dark navy); the cell in bold is the peak month. Colors cannot be compared between rows: a dark cell in the “comprehensive car insurance” row and a dark cell in the “air conditioner servicing” row do not represent the same number of searches. On mobile, the table can be scrolled sideways.

Industries with summer peaks: Air conditioning, boutique hotels, weddings, pest control, car rental, and hairdressers

Of the 10 strongly seasonal keywords, 6 peak between June and August. Because the season is short and steep in this group, the timing of preparation matters more than in the other groups.

  • Air conditioner servicing: While the March average is 8.1, it rises to 10.8 in April, 21 in May, 33.6 in June, and 42 in July; it returns to 10.8 in September. The annual peaks are August, July, June, and July. The single highest week in the series is the week of May 12, 2024.
  • Boutique hotel: July is the peak at 77.3, and December is the lowest at 16.1. With June at 60.2 and August at 70.6, the busy period is June–August, falling to 34.7 in September. The peak is July in all four years.
  • Wedding venue: March 25.7, April 37.7, May 56.4; July 73.7, August 80.3, September 69.2, and October 49.9. The peak is August in all four years.
  • Pest control: The increase starts early: January 26.4, March 40.9, April 55, and June 74.7. The annual peaks are May, June, June, and June.
  • Car rental: June at 71.5 and July at 72.8 are almost equal; the lowest point is December at 37.2 (ratio 1.96).
  • Hairdresser: August is the peak at 37.2, and January is the lowest at 22.5 (ratio 1.65); annual peaks are July, August, August, and August.

These data answer when wedding season begins from the search perspective: interest in “wedding venue” starts to rise in April and remains above the 12-month average from May through October. Because venue research often takes place before the wedding date (this is our interpretation), the search peak and the month when weddings are most concentrated do not necessarily coincide; the data do not measure this distinction.

September peak: Kindergarten and English courses

Education keywords follow the school calendar and are the two most regular series in the measurement. “kindergarten” and “English course” peaked in September every year between 2022 and 2025; the lowest month for both keywords is April in the five-year average.

  • Kindergarten: April 27.8, July 46.6, August 56.9, September 65.1; there is a sharp drop to 35.9 in October (ratio 2.34). The season window is June–September.
  • English course: April 37.1, August 59.2, September 76, October 62 (ratio 2.05). The drop in October is gentler than for kindergarten; the season window is June–October.

The sharp October drop for kindergarten suggests that the decision period closes when schools open; this is an interpretation, and the data do not show the reason for a search. Having content and advertising for the enrollment period ready before June is a reasonable goal according to this table.

Fall and winter peaks: Carpet cleaning and boiler servicing

The two keywords rise toward the colder months rather than in summer. For both, the annual lowest month is the same as, or adjacent to, the five-year lowest month in all four years.

  • Boiler servicing: June and July are the lowest at 7, October is 14.7, November 18, and December 16 (ratio 2.57). The lowest month is around June–July in all four years; the annual peaks are November, November, May, and December. The May peak in 2024 and the fact that the highest week in the series is the week of April 26, 2026 show that cold weather can also create brief spikes in spring.
  • Carpet cleaning: January is the lowest at 32.5; September at 64.3 and October at 67.8 are the peaks (ratio 2.09). The annual peaks are September, October, September, and October. There is also a second, smaller increase in June at 51.8.

Mildly seasonal and irregular industries

For the 5 mildly seasonal keywords, the difference is small, but the peak falls in the same or an adjacent month in at least three of the four years. “balcony glazing” (June, 1.42), “cleaning company” (August, 1.37), “household moving” (June, 1.37), “locksmith” (July, 1.33), and “electrician” (July, 1.28) are searched for slightly more in summer. For household moving, the annual peaks are June, July, July, and June; the lowest month is December.

In the irregular group, the ratio may appear high, but the peak shifts from year to year. The table below shows the week that determines the scale of these four keywords and their weekly median.

KeywordPeak month (5-year average)Annual peak months 2022–2025Highest week (=100)Weekly medianZero weeks

driving schoolDecember (54)Dec / Jul / Jul / JulWeek of December 4, 2022420
home renovationFebruary (26.1)May / Jul / Sep / JanWeek of February 15, 2026199
  • Plumber: In the five-year average, October at 16.5 and November at 18.2 stand out, but in no year except 2024 did the annual peak fall in October or November. The highest week in the series is the week of November 17, 2024, and the weekly median is only 8.
  • Web design: Because the single peak in the week of March 8, 2026 takes the scale’s value of 100, the other weeks remain around 6, and the March average rises to 10.3. Because a single peak compresses the entire series, month-by-month differences should be interpreted at low resolution.
  • Driving school: In the five-year average, the peak is December (54); the highest week in the series is also the week of December 4, 2022. In 2023, 2024, and 2025, however, the annual peak is July.
  • Home renovation: 9 weeks had a value of 0, and the highest week is the week of February 15, 2026. The February average of 26.1 is influenced by this single week; the annual peaks are distributed across May, July, September, and January.

Industries searched for in every season: Comprehensive car insurance, security cameras, signage, and others

For 7 keywords, the seasonality ratio is below 1.25: “security camera” 1.07, “comprehensive car insurance” 1.12, “signage” 1.13, “vehicle inspection” 1.16, “apartment for sale” 1.16, “gym” 1.18, and “furniture” 1.20. For these keywords, annual peak months are distributed across two or more different months over the four years; the five-year peak month alone does not indicate a season.

For gyms, the five-year peak month is February (73.4), but June is almost the same at 72.6, and the annual peaks are distributed across June, October, February, and April. For comprehensive car insurance, the highest month was December (82), and for furniture, November (81.2); however, annual peaks for comprehensive car insurance are June, April, December, and December, while those for furniture are March, January, November, and April. In these industries, the content and advertising calendar is built around campaigns, price changes, or local competition more than around the month.

SEO and Google Ads at Onur Freelance: Building the calendar around your industry’s season

At Onur Freelance, SEO and Google Ads management each start from 9,000 TL per month; the advertising budget is not included in this fee. When working in a seasonal industry, we plan the content publishing sequence and the distribution of the advertising budget across months according to that industry’s keywords. No promises are made regarding rankings, clicks, or the number of inquiries; the scope is provided on the SEO prices and Google Ads prices pages.

When should you run Google advertising? Turning the seasonal calendar into SEO and Ads planning

The calendar below was produced for the 15 strongly and mildly seasonal keywords. The “Ads budget increase” column is the first month of the longest continuous portion of the season window; “Content published no later than” is the preceding month. This one-month margin is our planning rule, not a Google rule.

The reason for publishing content before the peak is the time needed for crawling and ranking. Google’s requesting a recrawl page states that crawling can take from a few days to a few weeks; a page moving up the rankings after being indexed is a separate process, explained in the article How long does it take to reach Google’s first page . In rows such as carpet cleaning or balcony glazing, where an isolated month outside the window rises above average, that month can be treated as a separate, smaller wave outside the main season.

Distributing the Ads budget across months

In a month when Trends interest rises, the same daily budget may run out earlier; in low months, the same budget may remain unspent. Increasing the monthly budget in stages according to this calendar and scaling it back at the end of the season is a general practice. Google’s seasonality adjustments page says this tool is “ideal for short events of 1 to 7 days” and notes that Smart Bidding already manages seasonal events; for a season lasting months, the main tool is the budget plan rather than a seasonality adjustment.

For the cost-per-click side, Keyword Planner data for the same 26 industries are available in the Google Ads cost per click in 2026 research. According to the Türkiye industry medians there, the top-of-page bid range is 33.20 – 146.46 TL for air conditioner servicing, 29.81 – 131.83 TL for boiler servicing, 7.49 – 35.91 TL for weddings, and 4.55 – 17.93 TL for accommodation. These ranges summarize a single 12-month period and do not show whether they change from month to month with the season; to convert a target number of inquiries into a monthly budget, you can use the Google Ads budget calculator, and to obtain volume and bid data for the keyword list, you can use the Google Ads Keyword Planner guide.

Trends interest is not demand: Limitations, updates, and attribution

This table shows relative search interest on Google rather than an industry’s sales or number of incoming phone calls. The following limitations should be considered when reading it:

  • Relative scale: Each keyword is scored from 0 to 100 relative to its own highest week. These data cannot support the conclusion that “industry X is searched for more than industry Y”.
  • Single keyword: Each industry was represented by one primary keyword. Different keywords in the same industry, such as “air conditioner installation” and “air conditioner servicing”, may have different calendars.
  • National average: The data cover Türkiye as a whole. The calendar for accommodation in coastal regions or for boilers in eastern provinces may differ from the national average.
  • February 15, 2026 spike: In the week of February 15, 2026, 4 keywords (home renovation, balcony glazing, hairdresser, furniture) simultaneously recorded the highest value in their series. The simultaneous peak in four unrelated industries was treated as a possible data spike; the February averages for these keywords (home renovation 26.1, balcony glazing 27.9, hairdresser 27.8, furniture 77.2) are affected by this week.
  • Noise at low volumes: Google states on its Trends FAQ page that it adds statistical noise consisting of small, random fluctuations to the data to protect privacy, and that for low-volume queries the data sometimes reflect this noise rather than actual interest. The 9 zero weeks in the “home renovation” series and the single peak compressing the scale in the “web design” series fall into this group.
  • Cost was not measured: These data do not measure whether cost per click changes with the season. Competition may increase and bids may rise during the season; verifying this requires a monthly report from within the account.

Update note

This research uses October 2026 data and is refreshed once a year using the same 26 keywords and the same settings; the next update will take place in October 2027. The raw weekly series can be reproduced through Trends using the same parameters. If a website is to be structured around the industry’s own keyword list, the industry-specific website design page is the starting point.

Let us plan preparations for the next season now

In an industry with an approaching peak, the right time to begin content and advertising preparation becomes clear after reviewing the business’s own keywords and existing website. Frequently asked questions

According to Google Trends data for Türkiye for 2021–2026, the most seasonal keywords are air conditioner servicing (July peak, seasonality ratio 5.19), boutique hotel (July, 4.80), and wedding venue (August, 3.12). Interest in comprehensive car insurance, security cameras, signage, vehicle inspection, apartments for sale, gyms, and furniture remains at almost the same level throughout the year.
